Coaching software for the Netherlands

By Martijn Mauritz · Last updated 2026-09-06

What should a Netherlands-based coach look for in coaching software?

Four things a global tool often gets wrong for a Dutch practice: client data kept in the EU with a Data Processing Agreement, payments Dutch clients actually use (iDEAL, plus SEPA and card) with EU-valid VAT (BTW) invoices, a Dutch-language interface for you and your clients, and two-way Google and Outlook calendar sync. Exantur covers all four, on top of the coaching work itself.

Choosing coaching software in the Netherlands adds questions most international tools skip: where your client data lives, whether clients can pay the way they expect, and whether invoices and the interface fit how a Dutch practice actually works. Exantur is built in Europe, hosted in the EU, and organized around the coaching relationship rather than a sales pipeline.

It is part of Exantur, coaching practice management software built for the practice of professional coaching, not adapted from a generic project management tool.

What changes when you choose software for a Dutch practice

The coaching workflow is the same everywhere; four things are not. First, where client data is stored and processed, which for a Dutch practice means the EU under the AVG (GDPR). Second, how clients pay, because iDEAL is the method most Dutch clients reach for. Third, whether invoices carry valid Dutch VAT (BTW). Fourth, whether you and your clients can work in Dutch. The sections below cover each, and link to the deeper pages where the detail belongs.

Payments Dutch clients actually use

iDEAL is by far the most common way to pay online in the Netherlands. Exantur bills clients through your own connected Stripe account, so a Dutch client can settle an invoice with iDEAL, and clients elsewhere with Bancontact, SEPA direct debit or card. Exantur takes a 0% platform fee, you keep the full amount minus Stripe’s own processing, and every invoice carries valid EU VAT (BTW), ready for your accounting. Client invoicing is available from the Starter plan up.

Data in the EU, under the AVG

All client data is stored and processed in the European Union, and a Data Processing Agreement (verwerkersovereenkomst) is available, so a Dutch practice avoids the US-jurisdiction question that comes with many international tools. No software makes a practice AVG-compliant on its own; Exantur provides the EU hosting and the contractual building blocks, and you remain the controller. For where the data lives, see EU-hosted coaching software; for your AVG obligations and the DPA, see GDPR coaching software.

Built for the coaching, in your language

The interface is available in Dutch, English, French and German, so you and your clients each work in the language you prefer. Underneath, the work is organized around the coaching relationship: structured session notes, accountability and between-session check-ins, goals and progress, intake forms, a client portal and secure documents, all inside the program a client belongs to, with two-way Google and Outlook calendar sync so booked sessions land on your real calendar.

What it deliberately does not do

Exantur is not a marketplace that sits between coach and client or takes a commission, and not a general marketing suite. It includes courses (lessons, quizzes and branded certificates) delivered inside the coaching relationship, and it goes deep on the coaching work rather than being an all-in-one that does everything shallowly. See the pillar page for the full scope.

Frequently asked questions

Can Dutch clients pay by iDEAL?

Is client data hosted in the EU, and is a DPA available?
Yes. All data is stored and processed in the European Union, and a Data Processing Agreement (verwerkersovereenkomst) is available on request. See our EU-hosted and GDPR coaching software pages for detail.
Is Exantur available in Dutch?
Yes. The interface is available in Dutch, English, French and German, so coaches and clients can each work in their preferred language.

What does it cost?
See the pricing page for current plans and limits. Prices are not hardcoded here so the page never goes stale.
